We are pleased to announce the parade route for the 2018 Cars Curing Kids Ronald McDonald House Cruise to be held on September 23, 2018!
Starting and finishing from the UW Credit Union Corporate Headquarters at 3500 University Avenue in Madison, Wisconsin, the cruise is a 1 hour police escorted tour through the Village of Shorewood Hills and the University of Wisconsin Campus. Drivers and their exotic/hot/muscle cars are paired with children who are graduates of the American Family Children's Hospital (AFCH), Ronald McDonald House (RMH) and other hospitals in the area.
Why we need your support -
The Ronald McDonald House Cruise will raise money to support the Ronald McDonald House in Madison, which is a critical resource for sick children and their families that are seeking care in the Madison area. RMH provides rooms and meals for these families and helps reduce the burden and hardship associated with displacement when treating a sick child.
Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 through this event that will cover the cost of helping these families. We need your support!
Why kids participate in the Cruise -
This is an incredible emotional healing experience for the children because it is a celebration of their triumph over their illness. For most of them it is the first time they have returned to RMH and AFCH to do something fun.
Why you as a driver should participate in the Cruise -
For the drivers in the Cruise, it is an eye opening event, as for many it gives them an hour in their car to hear the stories of these children. Most of the drivers find this to be one of the most meaningful hours of their lives in the last 10 years.
